About the Temple

The Salasar Balaji temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in Rajasthan. The idol here is unique as Lord Hanuman is depicted with a beard and moustache.

Temple History

The temple was built in the 18th century. According to legend, a farmer found the idol of Hanuman from a field, and a lady appeared in his dreams asking him to establish the idol with full devotion.
